OKC Stair Climbers - October

We want you + friends, family and co-workers to join OKC’s first and only stair climbing club, the OKC Stair Climbers! The club is completely free and open to everyone (5 years and older). We’ll meet once-a-month at different climb venues throughout the metro – climbing indoors for the hotter and cooler months.

Our October climb club meet-up will be Sunday the 20th from 2-4pm at Myriad Gardens. We’ll be climbing the stairs surrounding the pond that goes under the Crystal Bridge. We meet near Park House/where the Devon ice rink is during the winter. If you can’t make it right at 2pm, that’s okay, the club is come-and-go so feel free to arrive when it’s convenient for you.

There are so many benefits to climbing stairs: it improves balance and coordination; it strengthens more major muscle groups compared to walking, running or jogging on a flat surface; consistent stair-climbing as a daily activity helps lower mortality risk; and it’s free, no special equipment needed!
